My Approach

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, graduating with a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2013. I completed my undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and neuroscience. My clinical training and diverse experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, and community-based settings have allowed me the privilege of working with people from all walks of life.

My experiences have provided me with skills to assist you with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, ADHD, career development, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, and identity development. With full acknowledgment that several of these issues may be influencing one another. Therapy may be used as a way to gain insight, express yourself, overcome challenges, strengthen your relationships, and embark on new endeavors.

I received additional training in providing effective telemental health services to adjust to our ever-changing world.

I hold some values to ensure a safe space: you are the expert in your own lived experience; you already possess the strengths that will help you overcome challenges you are facing; and you are entitled to be your authentic self.  I tend to utilize tools from evidenced-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, trauma-informed, and acceptance and commitment therapies; however, therapy is not one size fits all. In order to meet the individualized needs of my clients, I will tailor my approach to therapy in order to meet your unique needs and the goals we set together. I look forward to embracing this journey with you.
